Punjab News: Outside the main bus stand here on Wednesday morning, two masked youths riding a motorcycle took away a woman’s purse, which contained around Rs 6 lakh in cash and other documents. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Thana City Kotakpura reached the spot and started the investigation and the CCTV cameras installed in the area are being searched.
According to information, Vijay Arora, a retired manager from Punjab National Bank, went to get medicine from Fortis Hospital in Mohali with his wife. Later, he also had to get the house registered in Patiala. To go there, they reached Kotakpura bus stand in the morning.
Vijay Arora left his wife outside the bus stand and went to park the scooter. Meanwhile, two youths riding a motorcycle from the city side snatched the money wallet and ran away. To identify the accused, the police is examining the CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area including the bus stand.
