The anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore area continued for the third day on Tuesday as security forces launched a manhunt to trace the terrorists behind the killing of an army soldier. “A search operation is underway in Zalura Gujarpati area to trace the terrorists,” officials said here. The terrain is rough, due to which the campaign is becoming difficult.”
It may be mentioned that a jawan was martyred in a shootout with terrorists on Monday. Drone footage of the slain soldier has been circulating on social media, with the police appealing to people not to share such videos that could compromise the security of the state.
Sopore Police posted on their X that, “It is reported that some persons are circulating/sharing sensitive details about Gujarpati/Zalura incident without considering the impact of such activity. All are asked to refrain from irresponsible practices that compromise the security of the state.” –News-Patiala
