Hunger strike by corporation and fire brigade workers

On the invitation of the Haryana Municipal Employees Union, the Corporation and Fire Brigade employees gathered at the gate of the Municipal Corporation office at 7 am and protested against the government’s breach of promise. Later, the union leaders began their two-day hunger strike by putting necklaces around the necks of 21 workers at the protest site. Apart from Kanhaiya, Rakesh Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Balveer, Jaswinder, Mukesh, Shyam Lal, Rajendra, Jagjit, Gurmeet, Pradeep, Sumit, Shyam Lal, Rakesh, Shubham, Sudesh Paul and Narendra from the Municipal Corporation, Rinku Kumar from the Fire Brigade Department, Virendra Dhiman, Sunny and Ramkumar participated in the hunger strike. The hunger strike on the first day was presided over by Unit Chief Papala and stage management by Ramesh Kumar. Addressing the hunger strikers, district president Pravesh Parocha and SKS district president Mahipal Sowde said that despite the agreement of the administrative officials regarding the pending demands of the employees working in municipalities, councils, corporations and fire brigade, the demands were not fulfilled. The employees who are protesting against the rigid behavior of the government are protesting by going on hunger strike for 2 days. The leaders said that if the demands are not met, a sharp struggle will be drawn.

Problems of sanitation workers will be solved soon: Krishna Kumar

Yamunanagar (Letter Perak): Haryana State Cleaning Workers Commission Chairman Engineer Krishna Kumar said that the contract cleaning workers will soon join the Haryana Skilled Employment Corporation. They will get all the facilities that are being provided to the employees of Haryana Skill Employment Corporation. Along with this, the salary of cleaning workers will be increased soon. Therefore, recently Chief Minister Naib Saini has announced to increase the salary of employees by 10 thousand rupees. Engineer Krishna Kumar was addressing the sanitation workers of the Municipal Corporation, rural and other departments in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat today. Earlier, Additional Corporation Commissioner Dr. Vijay Pal Yadav, CSI Sunil Dutt, SI Amit Kamboj, Govind Sharma and others welcomed them. Chairman Krishna Kumar listened to the problems of all employees, employee union leaders and women employees and assured to solve them at the earliest. Krishna Kumar also held a meeting with the officials of various departments in the district secretariat. Dr. Vijay Pal Yadav said that the convenience of sanitation workers working in urban areas is being taken into consideration. SDM Jagadhri Sonu Ram, CTM Piyush Gupta were present on this occasion.
