Jalandhar: Police arrested 5 drug smugglers and recovered 400 grams of heroin from them. Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma said that on a tip-off, patrols were conducted from Qazi Mandi to Surya Enclave areas, during which Amandeep alias Bunty and Soma Rani were stopped. He said that during the checking, 200 grams of heroin was recovered from him, after which a case has been registered in Ramamandi police station. The police commissioner said that the police have arrested three more persons Ravinder Singh, Karan Kumar and Gurpreet Singh, residents of Ganna village, from whom another 200 grams of heroin has been recovered.
