Police found firearms and a potential explosive device in the vehicle, while two potential explosive devices were found and secured in the French Quarter, the FBI said. In view of the danger, officials postponed the Sugar Bowl, a game to be played on New Year’s Eve. The Federal Bureau of Investigation said it has launched an investigation into possible links to terrorist organizations. “We do not believe that Jabber was solely responsible,” FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Alethea Duncan told reporters. We are aggressively killing every lead including his known associates.”
US President Joe Biden condemned the attack and said investigators were looking into whether there might be a connection to the Tesla truck fire outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas. However, there is no evidence linking the two events.
The FBI also told me that he had posted videos on social media hours before the attack that indicated he was inspired by ISIS, Biden said of the New Orleans suspect. –Writers
