DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu today approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging his dismissal from service. Sandhu claimed that he has been made a scapegoat in the interview case of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi at the CIA station. The petitioner claimed that orders of dismissal were issued on January 2, 2025 despite the fact that disciplinary proceedings had already been initiated against him. Justice Jagmohan Bansal has issued a notice to the Punjab government and others on Sandhu’s petition.
