The Pakistan team is currently on a tour of South Africa. The team that lost the first match of the two-match Test series had to play follow-on in the second match. The host team built a mountain of 615 runs in the first innings thanks to Ryan Rickelton’s double century and captain Temba Bavuma’s century.
In the third day’s play, the entire Pakistan team was reduced to just 194 runs in the first innings. Going down on the follow-on, Pakistan had scored 213 runs for 1 wicket by the end of the day’s play. Babar Azam batted better in the second innings of the Newlands Test in Cape Town against South Africa. He was dismissed on the third day after playing an innings of 81 runs. During this innings, he collided with South African fast bowler Vian Mulder. After the follow-on, Babar put on a 205-run partnership with captain Shan Masood to dash South Africa’s hopes.
Mulder upset at not getting a wicket
In the first innings, Pakistan’s batting order deteriorated badly and they were forced to play follow-on. In the second innings, the team made a strong comeback and Babar Azam and Shaan Masood made the bowlers yearn for wickets. On the fourth ball of the 32nd over, he intercepted a shot played in front of Babar Azam and threw the ball to him.
The ball hit the foot of the former Pakistan captain, causing him to get angry. Babar, enraged by Mulder’s actions, was seen arguing with the South African bowler. Seeing the matter progressing, the umpire came and intervened.
