Assam: NDRF started the work of extracting water from Dima Hasao coal mine

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) started pumping water from the Dima Hasao coal mine on Wednesday to rescue eight people stranded since Monday. Rescue operations are underway at the coal mine site. NDRF 1st Battalion Commandant HPS Kandari said two pumps are being used to remove water from the site, with which a manual search will begin after removing the water. Once the water is removed, he said. Can go and search manually.

The ROV has both photography and sonar capabilities, officials said. Now Navy divers are going down the shaft. We will clear the shaft first and then start entering the tunnels. –ANI
