A 65-member delegation from India reached Pakistan via Attari Road to participate in the 34th World Punjabi Conference.

A 65-member delegation from India has reached Pakistan via the Wagah-Attari border today to participate in the 34th World Punjabi Conference to be held in Lahore from January 19 to 21. This delegation has gone to participate in this conference on the invitation of Pakistan’s former minister Fakhr Zaman.

The Indian delegation is led by the coordinator of the Indian chapter of the World Punjabi Conference, Sahajpreet Singh Mangat, chairman Dr. Deepak Manmohan Singh and eminent poet and chairman of Punjabi Heritage Lok Akademi Gurbhajan Singh Gill. This time the conference will be about Sufism, in which various papers will be read and there will be discussions.

The delegation to Pakistan includes eminent personalities associated with the field of literature, culture and journalism, apart from ex-IAS, IPS officers, professors etc. During the conference, new books published in Shahmukhi along with Gurmukhi by Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Sahajpreet Singh Mangat, Trailochan Lochi and Navdeep Singh Gill will be released.

Darshan Singh Buttar, Dr. Sukhdev Sirsa, Kahan Singh Pannu, Gurpreet Singh Toor, Jang Bahadur Goyal, Amrit Kaur Gill, Pammi Bai, Dolly Guleria, Sunita Dhir etc. are prominent personalities in the delegation. Besides Lahore, the delegation will also visit Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib, Gujranwala and Kasur.
