SGPC formed a three-member committee to investigate the allegations against Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh

The internal committee meeting of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) was held on Thursday at Gurdwara Degsar Sahib Katana (Ludhiana) under the chairmanship of President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami. In this, a three-member committee has been formed to investigate the allegations leveled against Takht Sri Damdama Sahib’s Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh. In this regard, a complaint was made by Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Muktsar Sahib, to the President of the Shiromani Committee, in which serious allegations were made against Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh.

The matter has been discussed in an emergency meeting called today. Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Shiromani Committee said that after the opinion of the members present in the internal committee meeting, it was agreed that it is very important to investigate the allegations of Singh Sahib keeping the honor of his position. Through a resolution passed during the meeting, a sub-committee was constituted for investigation, in which SGPC senior vice-president Raghujit Singh Virak, general secretary Sher Singh Mandwala and internal member Daljit Singh Bhinder were included. This sub-committee will submit its report within 15 days after complete investigation.

It was also decided in the meeting of the Atring Committee that till the decision on the inquiry report, the Chief Granthi of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib will perform the services under the jurisdiction of Takht Sahib.
