The gathering of the members of the Marxist Communist Party of India (United) was held here today under the chairmanship of Pawan Kumar Kaushal, in which the people who sacrificed during the struggle for their rights around the world and the former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Tribute to Manmohan Singh.
Comrade Kuldeep Singh while describing the international and national situation said that today the world is going through an economic crisis. The war between Israel-Palestine, the Russia-Ukraine war, the situation in Syria and the American imperial policy towards them are threats to world peace. The government’s communal and authoritarian policies are targeting the minority communities by promoting communal polarization in the country. Comrade Prem Singh Bhangu said that inhuman torture is being done to crush the struggles of farmers, workers and common people for their rightful demands in the country. Describing the agricultural policy of the government as dangerous, he said that it includes corporatization of agriculture, contract farming, future deals of crops, bringing agriculture under corporate houses under the policy of capturing whole grain and marketing policy etc. . In the meeting, the rally being held at Moga by the United Kisan Morche on January 9 was strongly supported. Zora Singh, Prem Singh, Iqbal Singh, Sahib Singh, Gurpreet Nastik, Pawan Kumar, Malkit Singh and others were present on this occasion.
