Former MLA Kaka Sukhjit Singh Lohgarh has also stood in favor of Congress party candidates in the elections of two wards of Nagar Panchayat here. Today, the former MLA held corner meetings in favor of both the Congress party candidates in Ward No. 8 and 10. A large number of Congress workers were present on this occasion. On this occasion, former MLA Lohgarh said that the ruling party violated democracy while filling nominations for these panchayat elections and opposition candidates were not allowed to file their papers. He said that the current MLA of the constituency, intoxicated with power, conducted a marcuti with the Congress supporters under his leadership, but he forgot that governments are not stable. He said that in 2027, Aam Aadmi Party’s broom will turn red.
All arrangements have been completed for the upcoming elections of two wards of the Nagar Panchayat here. Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Electoral Officer of District Moga, Jagwinderjit Singh Grewal, said that the process of voting in the said wards will be held from seven in the morning to four in the evening.
