Actress Allu Arjun and the makers of the film ‘Pushpa 2’ today announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 crore to the family of the woman who lost her life in a stampede during the screening of the film at Sandhya Cinemas here on December 4.
Meanwhile, Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) president and chief producer Dil Raju said a delegation of film personalities will meet Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday to promote good relations between the government and the film industry. Allu Arjun’s father and producer Allu Arvind, Dil Raju and others went to a private hospital. The injured boy of the woman who died in the stampede is undergoing treatment in this hospital. The doctors told Allu Arvind that the boy’s health is improving and now he does not need oxygen and ventilator support. After this, Arvind felt relieved.
Allu Arvind announced that to help the boy’s family, Allu Arjun has given one crore rupees, Maitri Movie Makers, the production company of the film ‘Pushpa’ has given 50 lakh rupees and the director of the film Sukumar has given financial assistance of 50 lakh rupees. Arvind handed over the check to Dil Raju and requested him to deliver it to the boy’s family. He said that he cannot meet his family directly without permission due to legal obstacles. -News-Patiala
