Punjab Government Orders Schools Closed Till July 16 Due to Flood-Like Situation

News Patiala: 13th July – The Punjab Government has ordered all schools in the state to be closed till July 16 due to the ongoing flood-like situation. The decision was taken in view of the heavy rains that have lashed the state in recent days, causing widespread flooding and damage to infrastructure.

The closure of schools will affect over 2 million students across the state. However, the government has said that the decision was taken in the best interests of the students, as the rains have made it unsafe for them to travel to school.

The government has also advised people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. It has also set up relief camps in the affected areas to provide shelter and food to those who have been displaced by the floods.

The closure of schools is a major inconvenience for parents and students, but it is a necessary measure to ensure the safety of everyone. The government has said that it will review the situation on a daily basis and will reopen the schools as soon as it is safe to do so.
