Punjab School Principal Arrested for Using Fake Degree to Get Job

News Patiala: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) arrested a school principal on Monday for using a fake degree to get a government job. Paramjit Kaur, who is posted at Government Senior Secondary School, Phase-11, SAS Nagar (Mohali), produced a fake M.Com degree issued by Magadh University, Gaya in Bihar.

The VB began an inquiry after it was found that the degree was not verified. During the investigation, the VB found that the degree was indeed fake. Kaur has been charged with producing a fake degree certificate to get a government job and promotion. She has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

This case is a reminder of the importance of verifying educational credentials before hiring someone. Employers should always check the credentials of potential employees to ensure that they are legitimate.
