News Patiala 12th July 2022: A car and a Thar jeep collided near village Chauhat on Samana-Patiala road late Monday night. Two youths were killed and three others were injured in the incident.
He has been admitted to various hospitals in Patiala for treatment. According to information, Harjot Singh (22) son of Bachittar Singh was a resident of village Sangatpura. He went to Chandigarh with his friends Vikramjit Singh (21), son of Inderjit Singh, resident of Dardi Colony, Samana, and Liaquat Singh (23) alias Lucky, son of Narinder Singh, resident of Varecha Patti. On their way back, when they reached near village Chauhat, a vehicle coming from the front collided with them.
The collision was so severe that the two vehicles blew up. As a result, five youths in both vehicles were injured. He was rushed to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala for treatment.
Harjot Singh and Vikramjit Singh, who were in the car, were pronounced dead by the doctor. His third partner Liaquat Singh is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Patiala. Gurman Singh and Gurjot Singh, both residents of Varacha Patti in Thar jeep, are undergoing treatment at Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
ASI Jaswinder Singh of Sadar police station said that a case has been registered against the injured youth Liaqat Singh Lucky and the driver Gurjot Singh. Both the vehicles were seized and the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families after postmortem.
