Patiala jail, Balwant Singh Rajoana tested covid positive

Shift to the separate isolation ward

 News Patiala 15th July 2022:
                     The corona report of Balwant Singh Rajoana, who is serving the sentence in the murder case of late former Chief Minister Beant Singh, has been found positive. As soon as the report was positive, the jail authorities shifted Rajoana to a separate isolation ward. Also addition, more medical help is being provided.

Confirming this, district epidemiologist Dr. Sumit Singh did. He said that in the reports received late in the evening, the report of prisoner Balwant Singh Rajoana has been found to be corona positive. For the past few days, Rajoana has been suffering from cough, cold, and fever.

As a precautionary measure, the coroner’s disease was tested by a prison medical officer. In which his report has been found positive. But, no other prisoners were in the barracks with Rajoana. Due to this samples of other prisoners have not been taken. Rajoana has been shifted to a separate isolation ward and treatment has started.
