| Distributed saplings on SBI Foundation Day in Patiala |
News Patiala: As per the guidelines of Forest Range Officer Jarnail Singh, PFS, Forest Extension Range Patiala celebrated the 67th Establishment Day of the State Bank of India by distributing saplings.
The function held at SBI Regional Office at Mall Road was presided over by Ranbir Singh Thakur, Regional Manager, SBI.
Forest Range Officer (Extension), Patiala Surinder Sharma was the Special Guest. On this occasion Forest Extension Range, Patiala distributed hundreds of saplings of various indigenous varieties to the bank officials and employees.
Addressing the function, Mr. Thakur said that SBI was playing a vital role in the smooth running of India’s economy. He also administered oaths to the bank officials and employees present at the function to be honest, diligent, and humble towards the bank, customers, and the country.
Mr. Thakur lauded the efforts being made by the Forest Expansion Division, Patiala to spread environmental awareness. He also assured all possible cooperation to the forest department in the interest of the environment.
Chief Manager Manoj Prakash thanked the Forest Extension Board for providing free saplings to the bank officials and employees. He promised that it would be the duty of everyone to take care of every sapling distributed today and turn it into a tree.
