News Patiala:- The Democratic Teachers Front Punjab (DTF) has expressed deep grief over the death of teacher Ravinder Kaur (SS MistressRavinder-Kaur-SS-Mistress-died-ludhiana-school-roof-collapse) and serious injuries to three other teachers due to the fall of a lantern in the staff room of Government Senior Secondary School Baddowal (Ludhiana).
The DTF leaders said that the government’s anti-education policy is responsible for the teacher’s death. They pointed out that the government is spending crores of rupees on sending principals to Singapore, but not spending a single penny on the school buildings. This has led to the neglect of school buildings, which are often in a dilapidated condition.
The DTF leaders demanded that the government immediately conduct a check of all school buildings and provide funds for repairs and maintenance. They also demanded that the government take steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
