Bank deputy manager dies in suspicious circumstances, case registered
News Patiala: Police of Civil Lines Police Station has registered a case against unknown persons for forcing the Deputy Manager of a private bank to commit suicide. Meanwhile, while the police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter, the family members are alleging murder rather than suicide and are demanding an in-depth probe into the matter. The deceased has been identified as Raghav Singh (26), resident of Darshan Colony, Backside Thapar College, Patiala.
The incident took place on April 20. At that moment, deceased Raghav was pulled out of the Bhakra canal by divers and rushed to the hospital, where he died on arrival. Deceased Raghav’s father Rakesh Kumar said his son was working as a deputy manager in a private bank and got married in December.
On April 20, Raghav left home in the afternoon to go to the bank for some work. After which he did not return home. He said that when Raghav did not reach home till 4 pm, he called and asked Raghav to come home. In it, he said he would come home in half an hour. Shortly afterward, his wife called and Raghav asked her to come home soon.
Even after a long time, when Raghav did not return home, he got a call from his colleagues at the bank, who told him that Raghav’s phone was switched off. He then started searching for Raghav and found out that his last location was near the Pasiana Bhakra canal.
When they reached the spot, the car was parked outside and the head of divers present there, Shankar Bhardwaj, said that a boy had been pulled out of the canal and sent to the hospital. By the time he reached the hospital, his son was dead. She suspects her son was very cheerful and had no problems. He can’t commit suicide,
