National Lok Adalat will be held on March 12. This National People’s Court will hear all types of cases except non-compoundable criminal cases. This information was shared by Rajinder Agarwal, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority. The Lok Adalat will be held at Patiala, Rajpura, Samana and Nabha.
The following case will be heard in this Lok Adalat
- Criminal compoundable crime
- Recovery of money
- M.A.C.T. Wages
- Employment disputes
- Electricity and water bills
- Marriage disputes
- Revenue case
Apart from this, other civil cases will also be heard.

- Discussion on important matters in the quarterly meeting of District Legal Services Authority
Compromising and non-criminal cases will also be considered during the National Lok Adalat on March 12, 2022. DC. Sandeep Hans, SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg, and other officials were present.
Agarwal instructed the police officials that before calling any person for investigation, he must be told the crime and the reason. Arrangements should be made for him to get free legal aid as per his legal rights or to get legal aid on his own.
District and Sessions Judge Rajinder Agarwal said that benches of judicial courts would be constituted at Patiala, Rajpura, Samana, and Nabha.
The primary purpose of the Lok Adalats is to settle disputes. It will not be a waste of time and money. Personal animosity between them could be reduced.
