Patiala News:Samana: CIA A team of staff apprehended the truck driver along with a quintal (100 kg) of Bhuki being smuggled from Rajasthan in a truck laden with coal while the truck driver and his accomplice managed to escape.
The CIA has registered a case against the accused at the City Police Station and started searching for the absconding accused after seizing the recovered trucks and ashes. The accused, who was apprehended by the staff team, was produced in a court of honor and remanded in police custody for three days for questioning.
The accused has been identified as Ved Prakash son of Chanderpal resident of Malkana, Samana, and Jaggi son of Amrik Singh resident of village Muradpura. CIA Chief of Staff Sub-Inspector Lakhbir Singh said that the police party led by Sub-Inspector Avtar Singh and ASI Balkar Singh had raided other states during the night patrol.
