Kejriwal announced 15 guarantees in the manifesto of AAP for the Delhi elections


New Delhi, January 27

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday released the party’s manifesto “Kejriwal Ki Granti” ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections to be held on February 5. Speaking at the launch of the election manifesto, Kejriwal hit out at the BJP, accusing it of imitating AAP’s promise-based governance.

He said, “We coined the word ‘guarantee’ first in the country. The BJP stole it after us, but the difference is that we fulfill our guarantees and they don’t.”

He announced his guarantees for Delhiites including robust “employment creation for Delhiites, financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month for women under Mahila Samman Yojana, Sanjeevani Yojana free health facilities, waiver of outstanding water bills, national Round-the-clock supply of drinking water to every house in the capital is included. The main promises made by the party are the commitment to clean the polluted Yamuna river and make Delhi’s roads world-class.

Under the Babasaheb Ambedkar Scholarship, SC and ST students are guaranteed scholarships to study abroad, free bus rides and 50 percent discount on metro fares. The manifesto promises financial assistance of Rs 18,000 per month to priests and gurudwara grantees and free electricity and water benefits to tenants.

Kejriwal said the election manifesto is being presented as an affirmation of AAP’s philosophy of governance, which prioritizes public welfare and infrastructure reforms. News-Patiala
