Until an immigrant reaches the land of Canada, he feels that the facilities in this country are the only facilities, if not the problem, there is nothing in this country. Then as soon as the life of the immigrant people who came and settled on the land of this country starts to run its course and gradually when they have to face many problems, the inner truth of the life of this country comes in front of them. While going through those problems, this thought definitely comes in their minds that their decision to come and settle in this country was not a very good one, but they do not even want to return to their country.

Earnings in dollars, free education for children, pensions for the elderly and financial assistance to children from the government make them accustomed to deal with these problems. One of those problems is the eating habits and health problems of people living in Canada. The biggest problem in this country is eating refrigerated items. Eating refrigerated meat, fish, cooked vegetables, bread, naan, cakes, kulchas, fried items, fast food, chocolate and many bakery items is a compulsion of the people of this country because in the race to earn dollars people have time. It is not possible that they themselves can cook and eat their favorite food. If four guests come to the house, only this refrigerated food or fast food is served before them.

In our country, people have a habit of eating fresh food by their own will, but eating food stored in refrigerators has become a compulsion of people. Most of the vegetables, fruits, meat and many other things in this country come from other countries. Those items are stored in large refrigerators and cold stores on trucks for several days. People are suffering from many diseases after eating these things which have been in the refrigerator for many days. On the other hand, in their own countries, these people have the habit of eating vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and other things fresh. These people keep talking about eating the fresh products of their countries by eating the things in the refrigerators every day.

Even in our country people have got habit of eating fast food, pizza, noodle, maggi, burger, manchurian, hotdog, macaroni, pao bhaji, pasta, momo, tikkis, samosas etc along with simple food, but in our country People eat these things not in place of bread but only on weddings, birthdays and other events. On the other hand, in Canada, these fast foods are a part of people’s daily life. Eating fast food in the morning, lunch and dinner has become a habit of the people here. Fast food is also served in front of guests at home because people find it easier to order this fast food at home than to prepare it manually. Elderly people also have to eat this fast food with their children under compulsion.

Children have got such a habit of eating all these things that they don’t like to eat bread. Among those who also eat roti, the younger generation prefers to order spicy vegetables, maida de naan, chhole bhature, kulche etc. instead of cooking by hand due to lack of time. There are many areas in this country where Punjabi people do not get food. The taste of flour, cheese, milk and curd of this country is different from that of our country. Chilled phulka and naan are not eaten. Tim Horton’s coffee, burgers and cutlets have become like opium addiction for the people living in this country, especially the students. Due to lack of time, the student body also eats Tim Horton’s coffee and burgers for breakfast. These coffee cups are commonly seen in the hands of young men and women and people in plazas, parks, trains, buses, streets and public places in educational institutions. Young boys and girls and children are playing with their health by drinking juices and cold drinks along with fast food.

In this country, both husband and wife have to work to support the family and to pay off the loan installments. Due to lack of time, they feed the children Maggi, Techu, Fried Paneer, Corns and other fried items instead of their homemade food. As children grow up, they get used to eating all these things. Eating chocolate, pizza, noodle, juice, cake, burger, hotdog, other fried things becomes their daily habit. Eating in hotels on the last days of the week is also a hobby of people and also a means of fun. Physical exercise is rare as people move into cars and manual work is reduced. These eating habits are causing heart attack, blood pressure, cervical, stomach, diabetes, kidney diseases due to cold country and lack of sweating and lack of physical exercise. Due to such eating and drinking, newborn babies in this country start talking and walking late. Obesity, crooked legs and other diseases are also seen in them.

Not everything is money. Money can be enjoyed only if health is good. It is not wise to compromise health for money. While living in this country, pay due attention to your and your children’s eating habits so that the future can be protected. Young men and women living alone should also keep in mind that only if their health is good they will be able to earn dollars, otherwise they will only invite diseases.
