Girls’ parents demand action against the principal The Jharkhand Abhibhavak Mahasangh (JAM) filed a complaint with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), alleging ‘shameful acts’ against the principal and seeking action under the POCSO Act. The school principal is accused of ordering 80 class 10 girl students to remove their shirts to write messages on them, after which the administration has launched an investigation, an official said. The parents alleged that the girls were forced to return home in shirtless blazers. The official said that the investigation committee formed by the Dhanbad administration will visit the school in Digwahdid under Jorapokhar police station area on Monday. The parents warned that if the administration failed to take action against the school principal, they would stage a dharna on January 14.
