A health department team led by Food Safety Officer Vivek Kumar conducted a surprise raid on a dhaba in the city and collected 6 samples of different food items. The Food Safety Officer said that this checking has been done on the basis of the complaint. He said that during this, samples of dal, flour, sugar were taken which are being sent to the laboratory for testing. He said that keeping in mind the winter season and Lohri festival, with the aim of providing quality food to the people, various ration shops of the city were also checked and samples of groundnut, gachak etc. were taken. He directed the food vendors to ensure the sale of pure and quality food.
