Former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has named the Department of Economics in Punjab University after the former Prime Minister of the country late Dr. Demanded to keep it in the name of Manmohan Singh. In this regard, Mr. Bansal has appealed to the country’s vice-president and university chancellor Jagdeep Dhankhar. He said that the name of the Department of Economics of Punjab University should be kept as ‘Dr Manmohan Singh School of Economics’. Mr. Bansal said in the letter that Dr. Manmohan Singh received his education from Punjab University. After this he has also served as a faculty member in the Department of Economics.
Manmohan Singh should be given Bharat Ratna: Badheri
President of Chandigarh Numberdar Union and former director of Punjab Mandi Board, Rajinder Singh Badheri, former Prime Minister late Dr. Demanded to give Bharat Ratna award to Manmohan Singh. He said that Dr. Manmohan Singh has done more to bring the country’s economy back on track. Apart from this, the name of Sikhs has been illuminated all over the world.
