The principal of Baba Kundan Singh Law College here was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his residential room late in the evening. The cause of death remains a mystery. The said Principal was originally from Orissa and was posted in the Law College here for a long time. A three-day vacation was going on in the college.
The principal’s wife was trying to contact him on the phone for three days but he was not picking up the phone. Yesterday also she kept on calling the whole day and when the principal did not pick up the phone, she got in touch with the attendant of the college named Rana. When the servant went to the room with the landlord, the principal was dead. Information in this regard was given to the college management and the police.
According to the information received, the death of the principal is said to have happened two-three years ago. The police with the help of social workers have kept the body in Civil Hospital Moga. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ramandeep Singh said that the actual cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report. He said that after the arrival of the heirs, the postmortem will be conducted and further action will be taken. Davinderpal Singh, president of the law college’s management committee, said that the said principal was posted in the college since 2007 and was about to retire after a year. He said that the principal was suffering from heart disease and was undergoing treatment.
