Dense fog fell in Punjab and Haryana, visibility reduced in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, January 4

Due to dense fog in Punjab and Haryana this morning, the minimum temperature dropped several notches below normal. In Punjab, Bathinda and Gurdaspur remained the coldest with a temperature of 5 degrees.

Due to dense fog, the visibility in the capital Chandigarh reduced to zero. However, people felt some relief from the cold as the sun shone during the day. Due to dense fog in both the states for the last two days, the visibility has reduced in many places.

When the people of Chandigarh woke up this morning, there was dense fog and the minimum temperature was recorded at 10 degrees, which was 3 degrees lower than normal.

The temperature in Haryana’s Ambala was 10.1 degrees while in Karnal it was 9.4 degrees. It was 9.2 degrees in Rohtak, 4.2 degrees in Narnaul and 5.7 degrees in Hisar.

In Punjab, Bathinda and Gurdaspur were the coldest with 5 degrees.

The temperature was recorded at 7.2 degrees in Amritsar and 8.4 degrees in Ludhiana. It was 9.4 degrees in Sri Anandpur Sahib.
