Amritsar, January 2
Tarsem Singh, Member of Parliament from Khadur Sahib and father of Amritpal Singh, who is imprisoned in Assam’s Dibrugarh Jail under NSA, said today that he will announce the formation of a political party in Punjab on the occasion of Maghi Mela on January 14. He said that Amritpal Singh will lead the party after his release from jail and till then he will remain at the helm of the party. Tarsem Singh said that he will announce the name and agenda of the new party in the presence of Singh Sangat. Amritpal Singh, head of Waris Punjab de organization, along with his supporters, was arrested from Rode village of Moga on February 23 on the charge of attack on Ajnala police station. -News-Patiala
