Kochi: Congress MLA fell from the gallery of the stadium

Uma Thomas, Congress MLA from Thrikkakara in Kochi, Kerala, is in critical condition after suffering head and spinal cord injuries after falling from the gallery of the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium on Sunday evening.

Volunteers and others rushed the MLA to a private hospital near the stadium as she was bleeding profusely. Hospital sources said that the MLA’s condition is critical and she has been kept on ventilator support.

After falling from the gallery, he allegedly hit his head on the concrete floor, sources said. Uma Thomas arrived at the stadium to attend a dance program inaugurated by Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian, sources said. -News-Patiala
