Three people died and one person was seriously injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a car near Ladda village near here. Sarpanch Satgur Singh of the nearby village Kanjhala and social worker Bhagwant Rai Joshi Kanjhala said that the youth of the village Amanjot Singh, Satgur Singh and Jagsir Singh Jaggi and Gursevak Singh of Hasanpur were going to Sangrur from village Kanjhale by car. As soon as they reached Ladda petrol pump, they collided with a truck coming from Sangrur. In the accident, Satgur Singh son of Gurmail Singh resident of Kanjhala and Jagsir Singh Jaggi resident of Hasanpur died on the spot. Amanjot Singh son of Bittu Singh resident of Kanjhala and Gursevak Singh resident of Hasanpur were rushed to the hospital. Amanjot Singh Kanjhala was referred to Amar Hospital Patiala due to his serious condition, but he also died due to his injuries. Gursevak Singh, a resident of Hasanpur, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Karamjit Singh, in-charge of the Sadar Dhuri police station, said that further action will be taken after taking statements from the family members.
