The impact of snowfall in the hilly areas of North India is being seen in the plains. Due to increasing cold, people are starting to wear warm clothes early in the morning. Night temperature has dropped due to strong winds at night, sunny during the day. Demand for warm clothes has also increased due to increasing cold. Crowds are beginning to gather at hot clothing shops in the market. Rich people are buying warm clothes in big shopping malls and middle and lower class people are buying warm clothes from small shops in the market or roadside makeshift shops. Dr. Gurvinder Singh said that the danger of health effects has increased due to increasing cold. Patients with fever, cold and cough are reaching the doctors. Dr. Ranjit Singh said that during cold weather, the elderly, children and weak persons should stay indoors and eat nutritious food. Agriculture Officer Kulbir Singh said that this cold weather is beneficial for wheat, but farmers should take care of sowing of wheat and barley. Thin water should be applied to mustard, bersim and potato crops. Veterinary Officer Dr. Amrit Singh said that farmers and cattle keepers should keep the floor of animal sheds and sheds dry.
