Trump Tariffs: The US Supreme Court has overturned Trump’s tariff hike orders against several countries. Earlier, it was reported that Trump had said that nothing has changed in the trade deal with India after the court ruling.

A White House official said this is temporary, as the Trump administration will consult with other legal authorities to implement more reasonable or predetermined tariff rates, according to ATF.
The framework for the interim trade agreement to be signed between India and the US was finalized in early February. Under the agreement, the US will reduce reciprocal tariffs on Indian goods to 18 percent. India has committed to substantial tariff reductions and regulatory easing for US exports. The United States has already removed a 25 percent additional tariff on Indian goods related to oil purchases from Russia, effective February 7, 2026.
