According to the police, an explosion occurred in a residential building in Karachi on Thursday morning. The blast took place around 4:30 am on the first floor of a building located in Old Soldier Bazar area. At that time everyone was waking up for Sehri. The police have said that 14 bodies have been recovered from the blast site so far. Fourteen injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. A ruined part of the building also collapsed due to the blast. The fire service said they were still searching the building for bodies or survivors. The dead include nine children between the ages of two and 17. Seven children are also among the injured.
