Finance Minister announced eco-friendly trails in Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Karnataka, Kerala in Budget 2026-27. Kangana Ranaut expressed her happiness over the boost to tourism, environment and local economy. Expressing his happiness, he praised Nirmala Sitharaman profusely.
New Delhi. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut does not shy away from openly expressing her opinion on any issue. Today on 1 February, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament. While presenting the Union Budget 2026-27, he made it clear that the government’s priority is rapid, balanced and sustainable development. This was his ninth consecutive budget, in which along with economic progress, tourism and environmental protection have also been given special place. Through the budget, the government has indicated that nature will not be left behind in the race of development.
An important announcement of this budget is related to the hill states. Eco-friendly mountain trails will be developed in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. Trekking and hiking will be promoted by creating new trails in these areas, which will give tourists an opportunity to get closer to nature. Besides, a plan has also come forward to create special trails to encourage wildlife tourism, so that along with tourism, conservation of biodiversity can also be ensured.
The government has also announced to take important steps regarding marine and coastal tourism. ‘Turtle Trails’ will be developed in major turtle breeding areas of Odisha, Karnataka and Kerala. The purpose of these trails is to make tourists aware of nature and strengthen the conservation of rare species. Apart from this, similar eco-friendly trails will also be built in Araku Valley of Eastern Ghats and Pudigai Malai area of Western Ghats. The government believes that along with promoting tourism, it will also create new employment opportunities for the local people.
Kangana Ranaut called the budget the budget of developed India.
Actress Kangana Ranaut has expressed happiness on these announcements. Praising these schemes linking tourism, environment and local economy, he said that this budget is a strong step towards ‘developed India’. According to him, the country has now reached very close to that goal.
