India Israel Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s possible visit to Israel is expected to take place in February 2026. The discussion about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel has intensified once again. Reports suggest that the tour may take place on 27-28 February 2026. If this happens, it will be Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Israel since 2017. The purpose of this visit is considered to further strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Israel. This visit is taking place at the invitation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two leaders are expected to discuss key issues such as defence, security and technology. Given the current situation in the Middle East, this visit is also considered important for India’s foreign policy.
Prime Minister Modi’s possible visit comes at a time of heightened concerns about regional security. Recent reports have accused Pakistan of supporting Hamas. Representatives of Hamas have been seen in contact with some local terrorist organizations on Pakistani soil, posing a significant threat to India. Reports also claim that Hamas’s growing ties to organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba have raised concerns in several countries. Israeli Ambassador Reuven Azar has also expressed concern over the activities of Hamas in Pakistan and Bangladesh and said that all countries should be vigilant. Defense cooperation is likely to be a key agenda item for the visit. Israel’s advanced defense technology is considered critical to India’s security needs. Discussions on missile defense, drones and surveillance systems are possible. This can further strengthen India’s border security.
