It is clear that the Indian and Pakistani teams will not meet in the group stage. The Indian team will start their campaign against USA in the U-19 World Cup. The Indian team will play USA in the first match of the Men’s U-19 World Cup to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia from January 15 to February 6.

16 teams will participate in this tournament, which have been divided into groups of four. 41 matches will be played in 23 days. India have been placed in Group A along with the United States, Bangladesh and New Zealand. Group B features Zimbabwe, Pakistan, England and Scotland, while Group C will feature defending champions Australia, Ireland, Japan and Sri Lanka. The fourth and final Group D will feature Tanzania, West Indies, Afghanistan and South Africa.

The U-19 World Cup matches will be played at five venues in Zimbabwe and Namibia: Harare Sports Club, Takashinga and Queen’s Sports Club in Zimbabwe, and the Namibia Cricket Ground and HP Oval in Windhoek. The teams are divided into four groups. This will be followed by the Super Six phase. Two semi-finals will be played before the final. Practice matches will be played from January 9 to January 14.
