Changes in school timings, new orders will be implemented from tomorrow – News-Patiala Punjabi


School timing changed – In view of the winter season, the school timings have been changed.

Due to the sudden cold, the Haryana government has ordered changes in school timings across the state. To protect children from cold and ensure their education in a better environment, the Directorate of Education has changed the school timings from November 15. Schools will now be held from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

In double shift schools, the first shift will run from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm, while the second shift will run from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm. This information was given by the District Education Officer, Jind, Rohtash Verma while talking to the media in his office today. He said that there are 723 government schools in the district, of which 423 are primary, where about 100,000 students study. He said that the Directorate of Education has issued these orders keeping in mind the winter season.

The changes in school timings in compliance with these orders will be implemented from Saturday, and legal action will be taken against those who violate these orders. He also informed that to ensure the health of the children, the directorate has decided to provide kheer and pinni (sweet dish) in the mid-day meal. He said that the children will be given pinna along with their iron tablets, so that they do not eat on an empty stomach. He also informed that a committee has been formed for mid-day meal in all schools, and the head of the school will personally check the quality of the food before serving it to the children. Mid-day meal workers are instructed to cover their heads with a clinical cap to prevent hair from falling into the food.
