Chandigarh, October 26, 2021, Punjab Vigilance Bureau will observe‘ Alert Mindfulness Week’across across Punjab from October 26 to November 1, 2021, in which colorful state departments and educational institutions will be involved during the week-long crusade. Telling this then moment, DGP-cum-Chief Director of Vigilance BureauMr.S. Chattopadhyaya said the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) provides a special watchword every time for the Alert Mindfulness Week to apprehensive the public for eradication of all forms of corruption in the country.
This time “ Tone reliance with integrity” has been chosen as the theme by the CVC, he added. He further informed that under the directions of Punjab Chief Minister, S. Charanjeet Singh Channi, the state Vigilance Bureau (VB) has espoused a zero forbearance approach against corruption. In this regard, the VB had formerly launched a crusade against corruption in government services, said Chattopadhyaya. Participating in further details, the VB chief added that during this mindfulness week, the general public and scholars would be made apprehensive about the work being done by the VB to exclude corruption and to help them in the sweats to weed out corruption amongst public retainers. In addition, he informed that the VB has formerly issued instructions to all SSPs of VB ranges including workers about the observance of Alert Mindfulness Week.
The VB officers would conduct mindfulness events in educational institutions and government services. Piecemeal from this, panchs, sarpanches, block Samiti and Zila Parishad members would also be involved in this crusade. Celebrating the Alert Mindfulness Week in the presence of Chief DirectorMr. Chattopadhyay, all VB officers/ officers moment took the pledge at VB Headquarters at Mohali in which Mr. LK Yadav ADGP-cum- Director, Mrs. Vibhu Raj ADGP-cum-Director were also present on the occasion. Mr. Varinder Singh Brar, Joint Director administered the pledge to all the officers/ workers posted in the Bureau. The VB Chief asked all the officers and workers to perform their duties with honesty and take a resolution to produce mindfulness among the people to annihilate corruption.
