We often eat and drink while watching TV and at the same time the remote is also in our hands. But hardly anyone thinks of cleaning the remote. A survey by Churchill Insurance, a UK company, found that a TV remote can be about 15 times dirtier than a toilet seat.

Cutting boards are used in the kitchen to cut vegetables, fruits and raw meat. According to a study by the University of Arizona, on average, a cutting board can contain 200 times more fecal bacteria than a toilet seat, which can cause food poisoning.

Many studies show that on average an office desk can be 100 times dirtier than a kitchen table and 400 times less hygienic than a toilet seat.
