Youngsters face many challenges while preparing for UP Police Sub Inspector Exam. Success comes only by adopting the right preparation methods and strategies. If students focus on these tips during this time, they will surely get inspector uniform.
Today’s discussion is very important for candidates who are preparing for UP Police SI Exam. UP Police Sub Inspector Exam is the dream of millions of youngsters, but without proper direction, right strategy and smart preparation it is difficult to crack this exam. In an exclusive interview with Local 18, Roy Classes Director VK Roy provided detailed information on exam preparation, subject-wise focus and easy ways to score qualifying marks.
VK Roy emphasized the importance of syllabus. He said that the first and most important step in preparing for any competitive exam is to cover the entire syllabus on time. It is wrong to expect success without understanding the syllabus or studying incomplete syllabus. He also emphasized that students should make neat and short notes so that they can easily review the entire syllabus during revision. Candidates should prepare their complete syllabus through notes about one month before the exam.
He described his exam day strategy as the most challenging time of the exam. He explained that the first 10-20 questions may be intimidating or confusing, but there is no need to panic over such questions. Citing a cricket example, he said that just as a fast bowler’s first ball is intimidating, so are opening questions. It is important for candidates to be patient and not panic.
Absence of negative marking in UPSI exam is a major strength for candidates. Even if they don’t know the answer to a question, there is no need to panic. Without negative marking, students can also solve questions based on guesswork. It is often observed that the intermediate questions are a bit difficult, but many questions in the final section are easy. Hence, it is very important to persevere and maintain patience throughout the exam.
His fourth and most important suggestion was the mock test, which he described as “sanjeevani booti”. He said that every student preparing for UPSI should include mock tests in their daily schedule. They should give at least one mock test in the morning and one in the evening. However, just giving mock tests is not enough; It is very important to analyze each question. Consider why each choice is true or false, why a particular choice was crossed out, and why the correct answer was chosen. This practice reinforces the concepts.
VK Rai Sir emphasized that the aim should be to score high in Mathematics and Reasoning. Mathematics and Reasoning form the foundation of the exam, and these subjects strengthen the aptitude. Next comes Hindi, which is the mother tongue of most of the students, so it is not too difficult. Hindi can definitely help you crack the exam.
But the subjects that help you crack the final cutoff and secure a job are GK and GS (General Knowledge and General Studies). VK Roy Sir explained that GK and GS are the subjects that put a “double star” on your shoulders. Candidates can reach the final selection only by developing a strong understanding of subjects like history, geography, politics and current affairs.
He also told the students that if you prepare with regular study, proper strategy, mock tests and confidence then it is absolutely possible to crack the UPSI exam. This video and talk is an attempt to explain the essential points that every UPSI aspirant should know.
