Zimbabwe captain Simbrashe Mudzengerai won the toss and decided to field first. Thanks to Vihan Malhotra’s brilliant century, India made a huge score of 352 runs for 8 wickets. After which, chasing the target of 352 runs, the entire team of Zimbabwe managed to score 148 runs. India won this match by 204 runs.
IND vs Zim U-19 World Cup 2026 : India beat Zimbabwe by 204 runs in the Super Six match of the ICC U-19 World Cup thanks to Vihaan Malhotra’s powerful century followed by some devastating bowling. Batting first, Team India scored 352 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 148 in 37.4 overs. With this third straight win in Group 2 of the Super Six, Team India have secured their place in the semi-finals. The Indian team’s next Super Six match is against Pakistan on February 1.
Defending the target of 353 runs, the bowlers of Team India wreaked havoc with their lethal bowling. Uddhav Mohan and captain Ayush Mahatre took the most wickets for the Indian team, taking three wickets each. RS Ambris took two wickets for Team India, while Henil Patel and Khilan Patel took one wicket each.
Vihaan Malhotra and Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again excelled for Team India. Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a quick innings of 52 runs off 30 balls, hitting four fours and four sixes. Vihan Malhotra also played a powerful innings of 109 runs off 107 balls. At the bottom of the order, Abhigian Kundu also scored 61 runs, helping Team India set a huge target of 352 runs ahead of Zimbabwe.
