Tokyo metropolitan Government in Japan (Tokyo Metropolitan Goeronment) has applied 4 days working week for their employees, just 4 days in the week. It is to improve working-life balance and increase the birth rate of Japan. The measures is part of a great initiative to resolve the challenges of working parents and the rapid population of the country. The news was going to allow their employees from April 4, April 2025 in December 2024.
Apart from the small working week, Tokyo administration has introduced a new “Childcare Partial Discoverance.” Under this scheme working parents will allow working parents to reduce their work every day every day. It will provide more flexibility in managing the responsibilities of children’s care.
Tokyo’s Governor Eucake says that the purpose of the move is to help employees who are parents and want to balance the care and work.
