Gyanesh Kumar Appointedia ” 26th chief Election Commissioner Election Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Giash Kumar has been appointed the 26th Chief Election Commissioner of the country on Monday night. The Law Ministry has confirmed it. Kumar’s tenure will be up to 26 January 2029.

As Gianesh Kumar, As the 26th Chief Election Commissioner, will see the Bihar Assembly elections and arrangements for Kerala and the Andwarherury assembly elections next year. The following year Tamil Nadu and West Bengal Assembly elections will also be under their supervision.

Kumar, who played the main role in the Centenary of Article 370 of the Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir, took over the main role in the Union Home Ministry, as a session commissioner on 15th March, 2024.
