Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind held a meeting with the administrative officials regarding the preparations for the Republic Day event at Bachat Bhavan. On this occasion, he said that during the event, the freedom fighters of the district and the personalities who have done commendable work in different fields will be honored and tableaux showing the development works will be taken out by different departments. On this occasion, colorful cultural program will be presented by children of different schools and Punjab Police, Punjab Women Police, Punjab Home Guards along with NCC. A grand march past will be made by the wings. He said that sewing machines and tricycles will be given to the needy by the District Red Cross Society. He asked all officers and employees to ensure attendance on this occasion and to send the list of best performing employees by January 20. In the meeting Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Geetika Singh, S.P. (H/M) Rakesh Yadav, ADC (Development) Surinder Singh Dhaliwal, District Revenue Officer Karun Gupta etc. were present.
