The Border Security Force has recovered a pistol and heroin dropped by a Pakistani drone on the border. The BSF said that in two operations, troops achieved significant success in thwarting cross-border smuggling attempts by Pakistani drones.
In the first operation, a packet of 520 grams of heroin, dropped by a Pakistani drone, was recovered from Khanwal village in Amritsar district. In the second operation, one PX 5 Storm pistol of 30 bore and one empty magazine was recovered from a field near the border fence near village Rajatal in Amritsar district.
The paramilitary force added that the recovery reflects the prompt action of the BSF and the vigilance of its personnel to ensure the security of the country to thwart such smuggling attempts. IANS
