The fake universities issued by UGC include Indian Education Council Lucknow, Mahamaya Technical University, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University (Open) Aligarh and Gandhi Hindi Vidyapeeth Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

Out of 21 fake educational institutes issued by UGC, 8 are running in Delhi. Their names are All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Sciences State Government University, Commercial University Limited Daryaganj, ADR Centric Juridical University, Indian Institute of Sciences and Engineering, Vishwakarma Open University for Self Employment and Spiritual University.
