Aam Aadmi Party MLA and former police officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh today accused some leaders of his own party of abandoning the principle of Swaraj without naming names. He revealed that after the election of the Municipal Corporation, the winning councilors are being bought and sold which is a violation of the principle of Swaraj. He said that the party came to power in Punjab in 2022 on this principle but today this principle has been abandoned. If democracy is to be saved then the buying and selling of the won representatives must stop. He said that the winner may be the representative of any party but he has won and should be accepted as such. It is worth mentioning that Aam Aadmi Party got only 24 seats out of 85 seats in the Municipal Corporation elections while Congress won 40 seats. Recently, Aam Aadmi Party inducted seven councilors including six independents and one political party councilor into their party. In this regard, the Aam Aadmi Party leaders have also been accused of buying and selling, which was rejected by a cabinet minister of the ‘AAP’ government in the past.
