In view of dense fog and cold forecast in Chandigarh, UT Chandigarh government, government aided and recognized private schools have changed the timings till January 11. According to the letter issued by the director of school education, online classes will be held from the homes of children from nursery to eighth until January 11, while teachers can come to school as per the decision of the school management. Similarly, classes for students from ninth to twelfth classes will be held in schools from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The education department clarified in the notification that due to the pre-board exams, the school management can hold classes even from nine o’clock if they want.
